Acrylic monomers are crucial ingredients that improve the performance of everyday products – from paints and lacquers to adhesives, water treatment products and plastics, to detergents or textile fibres.
Acrylates produced using acrylic acid are used primarily for manufacturing homopolymers and copolymers. Acrylate esters are split into two groups, heavy and light. Heavy esters include 2-ethylhexyl acrylate and butyl acrylate, and light esters include methyl acrylate and ethyl acrylate.
