Foral™ 105-E Ester of Hydrogenated Rosin | Rosin Resin | Foral™ 105-E ester of hydrogenated rosin is a pale, thermoplastic ester resin derived from pentaerythritol and a highly stabilized rosin. Like Foral 85-E ester of hydrogenated rosin, which is produced from the same unique oxidation-resistant rosin, Foral 105-E offers advantages as the tackifier or modifier resin in various adhesives and coating compositions. In these applications, both resins exhibit resistance to oxidation and to discoloration caused by heat and aging. It is the palest, most highly stabilized rosin commercially available from Synthomer. Piccolastic™ D125 Hydrocarbon Resin | Pure Monomer Resin | Piccolastic™ D125 hydrocarbon resin is an high molecular weight, light colored, polar, thermoplastic hydrocarbon resin. Derived from pure styrene monomer, it exhibits to a limited degree, properties normally associated with higher polymeric resins - i.e., toughness and resiliency. Although it is hard and tough, it is readily workable, retains some wetting qualities, and provides excellent resistance to water, chemicals, shock, oil, and grease. It can be used as a modifier for rubber and plastic compounds used in shoe construction and as a binder for xerographic toners. Piccolastic™ D125 is also useful to formulate glues used for solvent welding of styrenic plastics. In styrenic block copolymer-based systems Piccolastic™ D125 associates strongly with the styrene endblocks, reducing melt viscosity and cohesion without greatly affecting tack and adhesion properties. Piccolastic™ D125 is compatible with EVA grades with up to 20% vinyl acetate and will improve heat resistance and increase the melt viscosity of the system. Piccolastic™ D125 complies with many FDA regulations for applications involving direct contact with food. Regalite™ UltraPure 1100 Hydrocarbon Resin | NBR-Dry | Regalite™ UltraPure 1100 hydrocarbon resin is a low molecular weight fully hydrogenated water-white thermoplastic resin with low targeted volatiles after aging, low odor, and low, stable amount of substances of interest as a function of aging temperature. Regalite UltraPure 1100 has improved color stability compared to the heritage grade with the same aromatic content and softening point. Like Regalite R1100 hydrocarbon resin, this resin has excellent compatibility in a wide range of polymers and is an excellent tackifier in hot melts requiring good color retention upon aging.

Regalite™ UltraPure 7100 Hydrocarbon Resin | NBR-Dry | Regalite™ UltraPure 7100 hydrocarbon resin is a partially hydrogenated water-white thermoplastic resin with low targeted volatiles after aging, low odor, and low, stable amount of substances of interest as a function of aging temperature. Regalite UltraPure 7100 has improved color stability compared to the heritage grade with the same aromatic content and softening point. Like Regalite R7100, the unique balance of aliphatic-aromatic properties of the resin makes it an excellent tackifier in hot melt adhesives based on SBS block copolymers, providing excellent color retention upon aging.

Staybelite™ Resin-E Partially Hydrogenated Rosin | Rosin Resin | Staybelite™ resin-E partially hydrogenated rosin is a pale, thermoplastic, acidic resin made by partially hydrogenating rosin. Because of this treatment, Staybelite resin-E partially hydrogenated rosin is highly resistant to oxidation and discolouration, and to changes in solubility characteristics when it is exposed to air and sunlight.

Tacolyn™ 1070 Resin Dispersion | Tackifier Dispersion | Tacolyn™ 1070 resin dispersion is an aqueous, 55% solids, solvent-free, anionic hydrocarbon dispersion. It is recommended as a tackifier for acrylic latex polymers used in label, tape, and construction adhesive applications. As a modifier for these latexes, Tacolyn™ 1070 enhances specific adhesion to polyolefin substrates and recycled corrugated board. It promotes cohesive strength and offers good moisture resistance when used in pressure sensitive adhesives. It may be used in clear film label applications due to its good color retention and oxidation resistance.

Tacolyn™ 5002 Resin Dispersion | Tackifier Dispersion | Tacolyn™ 5002 resin dispersion is an aqueous, 55% solids, solvent-free, anionic hydrocarbon resin dispersion. It is recommended as a tackifier for natural rubber and styrene butadiene rubber latex polymers used in label, tape, construction, and contact adhesive applications. As a modifier for pressure sensitive label and tape adhesives, Tacolyn™ 5002 provides a good balance of peel and shear and enhances specific adhesion to polyolefin substrates and recycled corrugated board. Tacolyn™ 5002 is recommended for water-based contact adhesives where fast break properties are required as in foam to foam bonding applications.
