Our waterborne, low-VOC, pressure sensitive adhesives cater to all your speciality tape needs. For demanding outdoor applications including roof insulation and construction tapes, we provide products with outstanding water resistance and low temperature applicability that ensure secure bonding (e.g., to low-energy surfaces).
We manufacture PSAs for protective films which exhibit no staining or ghosting, and leave no residue after removal; and PSAs with high plasticiser tolerance which are ideal for graphic PVC films. The low-emission properties of our PSAs are particularly important in automotive applications. In addition, our high solids, water-based PSAs provide improved drying and film-forming properties.

Its tackiness and extremely pale color, combined with its solubility in common organic solvents and compatibility with resins, film-formers, and oils, have led to its use as a resinous plasticizer and/or tackifier in plastics, lacquers, inks and adhesives. Chemically, Abitol E resin is a high molecular weight, primary, monohydric alcohol derived from rosin acids that have been hydrogenated to reduce unsaturation. Abitol E resin undergoes the general types of chemical reaction common to most primary alcohols.

Dymerex™ Polymerized Rosin | Rosin Resin | Dymerex™ modified gum rosin is a pale, acidic, thermoplastic, high softening point resin. It is composed predominately of dimeric acids derived from rosin with lesser amounts of monomeric resin acids and neutral materials of rosin origin. Dymerex™ modified resin has high resistance to oxidation and does not crystallize from solutions or from solid compositions. It is compatible with many natural and synthetic film formers and rubbers. Being an acidic resin, it reacts readily with polyalcohols or hydrated lime to yield high melting derivatives.

Foral™ 105-E Ester of Hydrogenated Rosin | Rosin Resin | Foral™ 105-E ester of hydrogenated rosin is a pale, thermoplastic ester resin derived from pentaerythritol and a highly stabilized rosin. Like Foral 85-E ester of hydrogenated rosin, which is produced from the same unique oxidation-resistant rosin, Foral 105-E offers advantages as the tackifier or modifier resin in various adhesives and coating compositions. In these applications, both resins exhibit resistance to oxidation and to discoloration caused by heat and aging. Foral 105-E has a substantially higher softening point and is therefore indicated where a harder resin is desired. Foral™ AX-E Fully Hydrogenated Rosin | Rosin Resin | Foral™ AX-E fully hydrogenated gum rosin is a thermoplastic, acidic resin produced by hydrogenating rosin to an exceptionally high degree. It is the palest, most highly stabilized rosin commercially available from Synthomer. It is a glycerol ester of rosin that has been stabilized by hydrogenation and has found wide acceptance as a tackifying resin for many adhesive applications, particularly pressure-sensitive, hot melt and emulsion types. In general, it is useful where there is need for a pale, nonoxidizing, color-stable resin.

Staybelite™ Ester 3-E Ester of Hydrogenated Rosin | Rosin Resin | Staybelite™ ester 3-E ester of hydrogenated gum rosin is a pale, viscous, balsamic liquid with the resistance to oxidation and discoloration characteristic of the Staybelite series of resins. The tacky, highly adhesive resin can be readily emulsified, and serves as plasticizer for a wide range of film formers. Staybelite ester 3-E is broadly compatible with many other components, and it has found wide acceptance in hot melt, pressure sensitive, and laminating adhesives. In general, it finds use where there is a need for a pale, non-oxidizing, color-stable, highly tacky liquid resin.

Staybelite™ Resin-E Partially Hydrogenated Rosin | Rosin Resin | Staybelite™ resin-E partially hydrogenated rosin is a pale, thermoplastic, acidic resin made by partially hydrogenating rosin. Because of this treatment, Staybelite resin-E partially hydrogenated rosin is highly resistant to oxidation and discolouration, and to changes in solubility characteristics when it is exposed to air and sunlight.

Tacolyn™ 1070 Resin Dispersion | Tackifier Dispersion | Tacolyn™ 1070 resin dispersion is an aqueous, 55% solids, solvent-free, anionic hydrocarbon dispersion. It is recommended as a tackifier for acrylic latex polymers used in label, tape, and construction adhesive applications. As a modifier for these latexes, Tacolyn™ 1070 enhances specific adhesion to polyolefin substrates and recycled corrugated board. It promotes cohesive strength and offers good moisture resistance when used in pressure sensitive adhesives. It may be used in clear film label applications due to its good color retention and oxidation resistance.

Tacolyn™ 3100 Rosin Ester Dispersion | Tackifier Dispersion | Tacolyn™ 3100 rosin ester dispersion is an aqueous, 55% solids, solvent-free, rosin ester dispersion prepared from the pentaerythritol ester of hydrogenated rosin. It is recommended as a tackifier for acrylic latex polymers used in label, tape, and construction applications including clear film label applications. Tacolyn™ 3100 is highly hydrogenated and promotes high temperature performance in waterborne PSAs.

Tacolyn™ 3400 Resin Dispersion | Tackifier Dispersion | Tacolyn™ 3400 resin ester dispersion is an aqueous, 55% solids, solvent-free, anionic rosin ester dispersion prepared from a highly hydrogenated, high softening point resin. It is recommended for use in food packaging applications such as closures, lidding, and cold seal adhesives, as well as pressure sensitive adhesives that contact food. Tacolyn™ 3400 is also used in adhesives applications requiring higher temperature strength such as in high temperature masking tapes, packaging tapes, and contact adhesives.

Tacolyn™ 5085 Resin Dispersion | Tackifier Dispersion | Tacolyn™ 5085 resin dispersion is an aqueous, 55% solids, solvent-free anionic hydrocarbon dispersion prepared from a low molecular weight, aliphatic C5 hydrocarbon resin. It is recommended as a tackifier for isoprene rubber and natural rubber latex polymers used in tape applications. Tacolyn™ 5085 is a good reinforcing agent that maintains excellent peel control when used in pressure sensitive tapes.
