Synthomer is a leading manufacturer of synthetic binders for graphic paper coating. Applications for our binders include fine paper (sheet and web offset) and mechanical paper (offset and rotogravure).
Paper coating creates a smooth surface with well defined porosity and glossy to matte finishes. This is essential for perfectly reproducing images during printing. Synthomer binders also ensure the mechanical strength required during the printing process, and deliver the polymer properties needed to achieve perfect print with high definition and brilliance.
With decades of experience and an extensive polymer portfolio, we can customise coating and paper properties to fit the precise technical requirements of your paper grades. Our experts support you with in-depth knowledge of the development and application of styrene butadiene (XSBR) and acrylic (SA) binder technologies for the paper and packaging industry.
