We recently celebrated the conclusion of our annual Synthomer Cares Week - a long-standing initiative reflecting our commitment to making a positive impact in the communities where we operate.
It began as a local initiative by the Synthomer Foundation in the USA and has since evolved into a global initiative, uniting our teams worldwide through purposeful giving and hands-on community engagement. For the past four years, the Synthomer Foundation has championed this global week of service, empowering our employees to make a tangible difference in the places where we live and work.
This year, 380 employees across the globe took part in meaningful activities to raise money for Médecins Sans Frontières, a medical humanitarian organisation that provides aid to people in crisis around the world.
Our local sites also got involved in Synthomer Cares Week. From our colleagues in Middelburg, Netherlands who worked with Walcheren Food Bank to provide free food to local households in need to our colleagues in Beachwood, United States, who hosted toy building workshops for children with disabilities, our employees have demonstrated that giving back is not just a choice—it is a corporate responsibility.
Natalie Wardega, the Director of Operations for RePlay for Kids, comments: “Over the past seven years, Synthomer employees have built battery-operated toys, supporting our mission to increase the availability of toys and assistive devices for children with disabilities - because every child needs to play.”
Through donations and hands-on volunteering, our employees have shown that giving back is not just a choice—it is a corporate responsibility. Whether they are supporting vital organisations like Walcheren Food Bank and RePlay for Kids, or lending a hand in their own communities, they have shown that when we give with purpose, the impact lasts far beyond a single week.
