Synthomer has been named Company of the Year at the 2026 Chemical Industries Association (CIA) Awards.
This is the first time in Synthomer's history that it has received the honour of Company of the Year.
This is a special moment for Synthomer, made even more meaningful given the calibre of organisations it was up against. The CIA Awards represent the very best of the UK chemical industry, so to be recognised in such strong company is a significant achievement.
Alongside being named Company of the Year, Synthomer also brought home two further CIA Awards on the night.
- Special Responsible Care for Process Safety Leadership – This is a recognition of the focus Synthomer places on keeping its people and operations safe every single day. It reflects the discipline and care behind Synthomer's SHE Principles and Golden Rules, the quality of its bespoke safety training and the strength of the systems it has built to support safe, reliable operations across the organisation.
- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) – This award recognises the real progress Synthomer is making in embedding DE&I into its culture and the way colleagues work together.
Michael Willome, CEO, shares: "For me, these awards reflect the commitment, resilience and expertise I see across Synthomer every day. It's a recognition of how we’ve continued to strengthen our company and stay focused on what matters most, even in challenging times.
"I am incredibly proud of our colleagues whose focus, dedication and energy have made these achievements possible. I look forward to building on this momentum together."
