Other textile applications include flocking, general textile back coating and production of soft handle non-woven goods. The product is fully self crosslinking with heat; external catalysts or crosslinking agents are rarely required. Prints made from Duramul 100HV acrylic emulsion are very tough and flexible and possess unsurpassed resistance to washing and dry cleaning with excellent light resistance and rub fastness (wet and dry). It also offers the softest handle of any fully acrylic binder available on the market. Because of the excellent light resistance the product can be used for printing items needing good light stability, such as curtains. These prints will not harden or discolour unlike prints using butadiene based products.
