Higher performance in packaging films
Our EASTOTAC™ and PLASTOLYN™ hydrocarbon resins give manufacturers improved film properties and better sustainability in flexible packaging, particularly for food as all our plastic modifiers for packaging have global food contact clearance.
They offer lower heat-seal temperatures, improved barrier properties, improved transparency (gloss and haze) and both increased stiffness and better shrinkability. They allow a wider range of processing conditions and are easier to use than typical PP resins, as well as having high compatibility with polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE). They are also easier to recycle.
In rigid packaging, our innovative and fully recyclable PLASTVANCE™ T combines the best of Polystyrene (PS) and Polypropylene (PP) but with lower energy and CO2 emissions during manufacturing. This enables the thermoforming of polypropylene with stiffness and a wider processing window, and manufacturers to down-gauge PP with improved barrier properties – and top load, transparency and gloss have all been tested and approved while down-gauging. In addition, PLASTVANCE™ T prevents the need for equipment change as it has similar shrinkage to PP, and with less punch force it helps extend the life of equipment.
