Application Advice/Typical Applications

For more information on this product, please contact our Technical Service Team.

Revacryl R 6329 has exceptional water resistance, low dirt retention, alkali resistance and high pigment binding capabilities. The product can be used across a wide PVC range. At the 50-60% PVC range excellent quality exterior flat and textured paints can be formulated. Natural and accelerated (QUV) exposures have shown low dirt retention and excellent weathering properties. At the higher end of the PVC range, good quality paints for interior use can be formulated having good scrub resistance. Owing to its exceptional water resistance, Revacryl R 6329 is recommended for waterproofing compounds (flexible membrane coatings) at PVC in the region 25-30%. It has superior resistance to ponded water conditions and remain flexible, even at low temperatures. Altough a biocide is incorporated into Revacryl R 6329 to give protection during storage, it is strongly recommended that additional biocide e.g. Nipacide CFX 3 be addedd to the formulated product to ensure freedom of attack from micro-organisms. Paint guide formulations can be provided on request.

Shipping and Storage

To ensure safe storage of this product, containers should be well sealed to prevent evaporation of water and the formation of skin on the surface. The emulsion must be stored at a temperature above freezing. A temperature of 5-25°C for not longer than 6 months is recommended. Higher temperatures will affect the quality and cause the formation of skin and crusts, especially if the containers are not tightly closed, or are subjected to direct sunlight for long periods. If these conditions cannot be met, please refer to our Technical Service Department who will advise on storage stability.
