REVACRYL AE 3737 is a finely dispersed, aqueous dispersion of an acrylic ester-styrene copolymer. The dispersion contains an anionic emulsifier system, is free from film forming aids, solvents, plasticizers, and ammonia.

Technical Informations

Application Advice/Typical Applications

REVACRYL AE 3737 is preserved against bacterial and fungal attack. In the manufacture of finished products, the material has to be retreated, as usual, with suitable biocides to give enhanced preservation.

Above minimum film forming temperature REVACRYL AE 3737 forms a clear, slightly tacky film. The low minimum film forming temperature of the dispersion is achieved exclusively by appropriate adjustment of the styrene/acrylate ratio in the polymer (internal plastification). This enables end products to form films without addition of film forming aids or plasticizers. REVACRYL AE 3737 is especially qualified for the use in water-resistant tile adhesives, bonding bridges and primers. REVACRYL AE 3737 is highly compatible with conventional pigments and fillers. At very high pigment volume concentrations and when fillers having a large specific surface are used, the requirement for wetting agent to produce a tile adhesive with a good storage stability should be carefully determined. DEHYDRAN 1620 is recommended as effective defoamer.

Shipping and Storage

This product is supplied in road tankers or in non-returnable plastic drums secured by a lid with clamping ring or in non-returnable palletized bulk containers (net volume 1.000 lt). The product must be protected from frost and exposure to direct sunlight. Storage temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C are recommended. The product contains in-can preservation to protect it against microbiological attack during transportation. For protection against microbiological contamination during storage stringent plant hygiene is essential. Depending on the storage conditions addition of suitable preservatives may be necessary. Care must be taken that drums and containers are properly closed. During storage, shipping and handling contact with metal surfaces that are not corrosion protected must be avoided. When stored properly, the product has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of delivery.
