PLEXTOL D 268 an aqueous acrylic emulsion for PSA applications.

Technical Informations

Application Advice/Typical Applications

PLEXTOL D 268 is used in low noise tape applications, e. g. for carton sealing tapes. It shows an excellent inital tack to fibre board and is especially suitable for crystall clear and colourless tapes.  PLEXTOL D 268 has a good runnability and good drying properties on fast running coating lines.  -  This product doesn't show ammonia-smell. -

PLEXTOL D 268 is protected against bacterial attack during storage. In the manufacture of finished products, the material has to be re-treated, as usual, with suitable agents to give enhanced preservation. PLEXTOL D 268 can be thickened by means of thickener emulsions e. g. Rohagit SD 15 or PU-Thickener e.g. Tego Rheo 8600.  - If needed wetting on critical surfaces can be improved by adding surfactants like Hydropalat 875. - PLEXTOL D 268 is crosslinkable due to the presence of functionalized comonomers
