Application Advice/Typical Applications

PLEXTOL D 156 is protected against bacterial attack during storage. In the manufacture of finished products, the material has to be re-treated, as usual, with suitable agents to give enhanced preservation. PLEXTOL D 156 can be diluted with water to provide liquors of any desired concentration. PLEXTOL D 156 can be thickened by means of thickener emulsions (e. g.PU thickener TEGO XP 8500). PLEXTOL D 156 can be applied by the usual methods such as spraying, impregnating, printing, padding and coating. By mixing PLEXTOL D 156 with other emulsions from the PLEXTOL range, the film properties of the former can be influenced within wide limits and thus adapted to the intended application. Silicone coated papers are suitable for covering the self-adherent coatings. - PLEXTOL D 156 can be used to produce special self-adherent tapes and labels.

Shipping and Storage

Store at an even temperature of between +5°C and +35°C avoiding frost and direct sunlight. Stir product before use. If stored according to these conditions and in the original unopened containers, the dispersion will be stable for 12 months following delivery. Product should be used as soon as possible after opening. During processing, storage and transport, avoid any contact with metals (including non-ferrous metals) which are not protected against corrosion. Detailed information is available on request.
