Synthomer takes its safety, health, environmental and quality responsibilities very seriously and has a solid record of continuous improvement in all areas of its SHEQ performance.
Quality
Synthomer regards quality as an essential ingredient of all its products and services. To reassure our customers of our commitment to quality, we have ensured that all our manufacturing sites have recognised quality accreditations. You can therefore be confident that our procedures are in line with the latest industry standards. In addition, because most key products lines are manufactured at several locations, you can rely on security of supply safe in the knowledge that all products are manufactured to identical high quality standards.
Safety, Health and Environment
We work closely with regulatory authorities to ensure we continue to exceed health and safety legal requirements. Our proactive programme includes risk assessments; regular auditing, improved communication and regular monitoring. Continued reductions in the numbers of accidents and injuries to employees mean that our performance in this area is better than average for the chemical industry.
Synthomer is also acutely aware of its environmental responsibilities, and substantial investment has been made in our plant and production facilities. Environmental performance indicators show significant decreases in the Company’s environmental burden in all areas: energy consumption; emissions to air; water usage; hazardous waste; and non-hazardous waste. Our objective is to keep driving these safety and environmental indicators down, year on year..
