Lithene ultra® PH is a viscous, low molecular weight, liquid polybutadiene with a high content of 1,2 vinyl microstructure. It has extremely low odour and volatiles and is used in EPDM rubbers as a coagent and formulation of hard electrical encapsulants.

Lithene ultra® PH is despatched from our UK production plant.
Handling - Lithene ultra® PH is a viscous liquid polymer. The viscosity of the product will decrease rapidly with increasing temperature and the product may be warmed to allow easier processing.
Compatibility - Liquid polybutadienes are generally compatible with many hydrocarbon solvents and plasticisers. Lithene ultra® PH is very hydrophobic and has limited compatibility with alcohols, ketones and esters. Further details are available on request.
With a high content of 1,2 vinyl microstructure, Lithene ultra® PH can be used as a coagent in peroxide cured EPDM rubber compounds, increasing modulus and compression set.
Lithene ultra® PH can be combined with a high temperature peroxide and aromatic monomer to form a hard insulating resin for protecting electrical and electronic systems.
In flexographic print plates Lithene® ultra PH can act as a reactive plasticiser with good compatibility with solid rubbers and high reactivity during UV exposure.
