Automotive semi structural adhesives
Hard electrical encapsulants
Coagent in EPDM rubber compounds
Lithene ultra® AH is despatched from our UK production plant.
Handling - Lithene ultra® AH is a highly viscous liquid polymer. The viscosity of the product will decrease rapidly with increasing temperature and the product may be warmed to allow easier processing.
Compatibility - Liquid polybutadienes are generally compatible with most aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbon solvents. They have limited solubility in alcohols, ketones and esters. Further details are available on request.
Lithene ultra® AH is a reactive polymer with a combination of 1,2 vinyl and cyclic vinyl micro structures which cure to give extremeley high cross link densities.Lithene ultra® AH is very low in odour and volatiles and is ideally suited for use in sulphur or peroxide cured EPDM rubber systems as a processing aid and to improve physical properties.
Lithene ultra® AH will readily cure at 160 - 200 °C in sulphur cured direct to oily metal, automotive adhesive systems particularly where high bond strengths are demanded. Adhesion of such sealants can be further increased by including Lithene ultra® AL-15MA in the sealant formulation.
Lithene ultra® AH can be cured with aromatic monomers and an appropriate peroxide initiator to form a hard, insulating resin for electric and electronic systems.
Further application and formulation advice is available on request.
